National Response Center (NRC) - 1-800-424-0201
The NRC is operated by the U.S. Coast Guard and is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The NRC receives calls on its "railroad hotline" from carriers (rail, highway, pipeline, and air) reporting on hazardous-materials accidents or incidents, and for the reporting of railroad accidents. The NRC relays this information to the FRA for appropriate action.
